It is a type of glass consisting of at least two panes bonded by a PVB (polyvinyl butyral) or EVA (ethylene-vinyl-acetate) film, making it strong and impact-resistant. Depending on the configuration, we classify it as safety or protective glass.
The lamination process takes place under high temperature and pressure, resulting in a permanent bond between the glass and the interlayer film. As a result, laminated glass not only takes care of the aesthetics of the space, but also minimises the risk of injury in the event of breakage as well as providing temporary protection against burglary depending on the security class.
